Sek Chi Ng was born in Hong Kong, China February 28, 1951 and died peacefully while at home in Sandy, Utah, August 10, 2014 at the age of 63. He was the youngest son of Kwan Ng and So Lo, and the fifth of seven children. Sek immigrated to the US in 1987, and on May 17 that same year married Rebecca Yu. Sek was a lover of food; he always enjoyed spending time with family over a good meal; for the past 27 years he worked as a chef, sharing his love of food with others. Sek had a passion for collecting things, stamps, coins, decorative figurines, even Pokemon cards for his two children. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ng, his two children Christopher Ng and Cecilia Ng, as well as multiple family members still residing in Hong Kong. He was loved by all those around him, and will be dearly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy. A viewing will be held Friday, August 15, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the mortuary. Friends and family are welcome to arrive early to spend their last moments with Sek, prior to the service beginning at 10am.
