Cheryl Ann Elliott

1946 ~ 2013

Our sister, aunt, and dear friend, Cheryl Ann Elliott, passed away July 31, 2013 after a valiant fight against cancer. Cheryl was born September 21, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the beautiful and spirited daughter of Lyle McArthur Elliott and Clifford Lawrence Elliott. Her adventurous spirit took her to Los Angeles, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe and Santa Fe, New Mexico before making her way back to Farmington, Utah. Cheryl's unique style and artistry led her to LA to work as an Assistant West Coast Editor for Seventeen Magazine. She worked in management and sales in several boutique specialty stores, her last being Paletti in Salt Lake with her sisters. Cheryl's passion for style and design was displayed in her dress, colorful house, and her beautiful pieces of jewelry, many are fortunate to own. She was fiercely independent and always spoke her mind like the Elliott women are known to do. Although her health was failing the last two years, she was energetic and still a vibrant force. Cheryl loved to be outdoors in the hot sun working in her yard and garden. Her spunkiness earned her many friends and admirers, who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her siblings Larry (Lynette), Carol, Rick (Lynne), Bob (Isha), Jackie Brown (Dirk), Kelven (Cathi), 11 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, and her two cherished cats. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 12, 2013 at 1:00PM at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah, where friends may call Sunday evening, August 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM or Monday August 12, 2013 one hour prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Lawn. Cheryl can be described as strong, opinionated, loyal, passionate, and always a perfectionist. Her distinctive style and beauty will be remembered and missed.
