Savannah Grace Evans

2001 ~ 2015

Our most precious only daughter passed away in our bed in the arms of loved ones at dawn on Good Friday. Her surviving brother, Noah, held her hand as she took her final breath. Savannah battled brain tumors diagnosed at the young age of 7. She endured 2 brain surgeries, maximum radiation treatment and multiple chemotherapies… and ALL of it with hope in her heart and a smile in her eyes.

St. Jude Hospital was instrumental in helping Savannah through this difficult journey and as a result, Savannah started a charity in 2011 named "Savannah's Song" and has raised over $250,000 for a continued Search for a Cure.

Savannah was a true girly-girl and loved getting dressed up for all charity events, Oscar parties and any possible reason to wear formal dresses, jewelry and flowing long hair. Everyone who knew her used the word "Beautiful" because it shined more from the inside of her than even the outside. She loved to cuddle and be held by all who spent time with her watching movies while eating popcorn and hot tamales. Due to the fact she wasn't able to attend school for the last few years, Savannah adopted her mother's friends: Gretchen Figge, Julie Ayers, Tobi Roberts and Rochelle Hugget. Savannah was an old soul and bonded as a "40 year old 13 year old girl."

Her absence brings an indescribable hole in our lives. We find peace in the Holy Spirit who is the only one right now that brings comfort. We know Savannah is with her Heavenly Father and family now. She is truly free from her headaches and shakiness. She can put on those high heels and dance, sing and smile with all her radiance.

Savannah is survived by her father and mother, Robbie and Candice Evans, brother Noah Evans, grandparents Richard and Kay Eatmon from Lompoc Ca., uncles Michael and Jonathan Eatmon from Denver Co. uncle Randy Evans from SLC, aunt and uncle Jonathon and Courtney Zielinski from Chicago, great grandmother Dorothy Linscostt, Cloverdale CA, grandmother Joan Zielinski Cabo San Lucas MX, cousins, Angelo and Angela Evans and Ava and Stellan Zielinski and her best friend Mackenzie Hethmon. She is preceded by her grandmother LaDonna Kondler, grandfather Glen Evans and brother Brandon Evans.

Services will be held at South Mountain Community Church, 14216 S. Bangerter Parkway in Draper on Wednesday, April 8th at 6:00pm. A visitation will be held from 5:00-5:45 pm prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.

Savannah would have loved for you to wear colorful, formal type attire. (Please no all black clothing).
