Salvador Gonzalez Martinez, Burley, Idaho, age 63, was born September 19, 1954 to Ramon and Dionisia Gonzalez Martinez in Edingburg, Texas. Salvador chose to become free on the 4thof July 2018 at the University of Utah Medical Center surrounded by loved ones after a valiant fight of heart disease. In the early part of 1971, Salvador met the love of his life, Sonia Llerenas, which lead to their marriage in December of that same year. During this time, they were blessed with 5 wonderful children and 11 grandchildren throughout their 47 loving years of marriage. Salvador worked many positions for Ore-Ida, which later became McCain Foods, for 42 years but retired 2 years ago due to his heart issue. He loved to hunt, play pranks, tell extravagant stories, spend time with his family and friends, travel through the west coast to Mexico, fish the Snake River, and eat at buffets.Salvador's presence was eminent as he was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.
Salvador is survived by his wife Sonia, their children and spouses, Salvador Jr., Javier (Michelle), Angel (Ronae), Angelica, and Raquel (Sergio). His brother Mario (Estella) Martinez, and 11 grandchildren, Alexis, Erin, Saige, Sierra, Keana, Sariya, Atlanta, Beyonce, Trevon, Sadee, and Syri. He is proceeded in death by his parents.
A Rosary will be held at10:30 a.m.Friday July 13that the Little Flower Catholic Church in Burley, ID followed by services at 11:00 a.m.
