After almost 98 years, Mom quietly and peacefully passed on to her next adventure. With eager anticipation she looked forward to the reunion with loved ones that were waiting to greet her.
She was born Sept. 28, 1919 in Berwyn, OK to Bates and Amanda Thomas. She graduated from Berwyn High School in 1937 and being of Chickasaw descent, she then graduated from the Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS in 1939. Married Fay D. McFalls in Oct. 1942 and later settled in Salt Lake City where they raised their family. He passed Dec. 26, 1968. She retired in 1981 as an executive secretary in the Graphic Arts Department at UDOT.
She is survived by her children, Ralph T. (Sheri) McFalls, Margo (Steven) Scoville, Jerry D. (Susan) McFalls; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Willis and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her infant daughter, Linda Diane, grand-daughter, Mary Alpuche, and two sisters, Virginia Young and Dorothy Robinson.
Viewings will be held at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary/Cemetery, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 So.) on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, 10:30-11:45 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 12 Noon. Online condolences: www.larkincares.com
