LaRae Brown Andersen, age 84, was reunited with her husband and son on April 28, 2015. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Claude and Fern Brown, LaRae was a tenacious redhead who charmed us all with her wit and spirit. She married her eternal love Dewaine "Dewey" Andersen in 1954, and they welcomed their son Bradley five years later. LaRae's life was marred by tragedy with the loss of her husband (1963) and son (1986). Independent and stalwart, LaRae and her pet bird Riley lived in Sandy, and spent winters at Lake Havasu where she sewed blankets and handbags for her many great-nieces and nephews. LaRae has one brother, Roger (Jeen), and was also preceded in death by her parents and sisters, MarJean (Jay), Beverly (LeMar), and Claudia (Dale).
Her family and friends will celebrate LaRae's life at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 2, at the Sandy Central Stake building (1050 E Galena Drive). A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E 7800 S, SLC, UT.
