Merlin, our dear Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Brother passed away on April 9, 2014 in South Jordan, UT at the age of 87. Dad was born to Milton and Grace Park on November 24, 1926 in Granger Utah. He attended Granite High. He served in the Army, WWII in Germany for 3 years. He then married Mildred Smith in June 1949. Together they created nine children. Dad's greatest love was family, church, gardening and fishing. You could always count on dad if you needed him, as he loved helping you. Dad was an inspiration, he never complained and he loved unconditionally. He will be greatly missed. Merlin is survived by his children Ramona (Dennis) Fennema, Rick (Carla) Park, Rose Mickelson, Ray (Carmen) Park, Vivian (Gordon) Eckersley, Ken ( Heather) Park, brother John Park, sisters Norma Edwards, Beth Sumsion, June Wightman, Ann Jacobs, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad is having a joyous reunion with the ones who passed before him. He is now together again with his wife Mildred, daughter Virginia, sons Steve and Frank, and many more. The family would like to thank Andrea and Ed of Millcreek Home and Hospice for the care they gave to Dad.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy.
