Marcus Clyde Wayman II

1943 ~ 2017

Marcus Clyde Wayman II much-beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away in his home Oct. 11, 2017, age 74. His extensive family surrounded him with such love and gratitude, as this good man's life concluded.

Marcus was born July 16, 1943, in Salt Lake City, to Marcus Clyde Wayman and Thelma Tressa Boss Wayman, a young couple separated much by a soldier's duty. Sgt. Wayman lived long enough to hold his newborn son. He gave his life, at age 22, in Italy fighting to liberate Europe during WWII.

Little Mark gained a Dad for life when Thelma married James Biglow Jessop in 1947. His first sibling appeared in 1949, and Mark's life-long role as "Big Brother to Many" commenced.

Mark was the oldest of 19 siblings.

Mark attended Granite High School, graduating in 1961.

He had a position at Hill Air Force Base, as Instrument Repairman. This HAFB career spanned nearly five decades.

Marcus is survived by his 3 faithful wives Joleen, Teresa and Heidi and his Legacy of 29 children, 122 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and many more who called him "Grandpa".

A viewing will be held 6-8pm, Tuesday, October 17, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 18, preceded by a viewing at 11am, same location. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
