Clifford Noble Cutler M.D.

Clifford (Cliff) Noble Cutler, M.D. died on September 14, 2014 at age 84.

He was born on August 10, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clifford Davey Cutler and Inez Noble Cutler. Raised in Salt Lake City, Cliff attended South High School and graduated in 1947. He graduated cum laude from the University of Utah in 1953. Cliff attended and graduated from George Washington Medical School in 1957. He interned at L.D.S. Hospital in 1958, surgical residency at the Dee Memorial Hospital in 1959. Cliff was a member of several honor societies. He practiced family medicine for 34 years in Murray, Utah and at Cottonwood Hospital. He was Medical Director of Cottonwood Hospital from 1989 to 1995.

Cliff married Shirlene Alsop on April 17th, 1958 in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. Their marriage was blessed by three children: Steven Cliff Cutler, John Bryce Cutler, and Camila Brooke Cutler Romney (Dale); and five grandchildren: Adam, Grant, Clifford, Kayleen, and Catalina. Cliff was one of four children, brothers Robert and Frank, and sister Carol Cutler Mansfield.

Cliff served a L.D.S. mission to Scotland in 1952. He also served in the U.S. Army as chief of surgery at 225 Station Hospital, Münchweiler, Germany. Cliff was a member and past president of the Murray Rotary Club. He was active in the L.D.S. Church: Sunday School, M.I.A., Scoutmaster, Director Monument Park Stake Extraction Center. Cliff enjoyed time with his family, skiing, tennis, travel, and, most of all, writing. He had many friends and loved to visit with all of them.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. He is survived by his siblings, children, and grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Alejandra, Maria, Miguel, and Raul, who cared for him during his last illness.

Funeral Services will be held at the Monument Park Stake Center (1320 Wasatch Drive) on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 12:00 Noon. There will be a viewing at Larkin Sunset Lawn Funeral Home (2350 E 1300 S.) on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church.
