Kimberly Ann Hardy Truman

1974 ~ 2016

On Monday morning, November 7, 2016, our beautiful and gracious Kimberly Ann Hardy Truman stepped into eternity. Kimberly Ann was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ralph and Sue Hardy on January 9, 1974. Kimberly Ann was the sixth and youngest of her siblings. She brought to this earth her beautiful smile, many talents and gifts to share with all, among which was the ability to bring love, joy and peace to others. The gifts of compassion and respect for others were hers to share with all whom she came into contact throughout her life.

Kim was the recipient of many miracles in her life and recognized them. During her long and valiant fight with brain cancer, Kim's gift of never complaining was a true miracle in her life and a bright star for others to follow. She believed in others and that each event or situation in life was for a purpose, no matter how difficult the journey or problems she faced. She loved life and was grateful for and considered each day a blessing. Those who knew Kim understood the kindness, love and patience she possessed. All that assisted her in this trial knew and recognized that Kimberly never missed an opportunity to express her deep appreciation and thankfulness for their kindness, love and help.

Kim believed families are forever, marrying Scott Lee Truman for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Utah Temple December 30, 2000. She was the mother of three children she adored: daughter Tyler Sue and sons Jace Scott and Brody William. They brought her a life of joy and happiness. She believed families are a gift and blessing in one's life. She treasured every minute she was given with them. She loved music and playing the piano with her family singing at her side; in turn they loved her beautiful voice and her love for them.

Kim's soul mate Scott was another miracle in her life, bringing her true joy. She loved living, laughing and enjoying her family, grateful they were sealed to her for eternity. Scott and her beautiful children were constant in their deep love, compassion and tenderness for her throughout her fight that began April 2009. Kim was so appreciative of her family, her extended family, dear friends from Columbia, Missouri, members of the Moses Lake 4th Ward, and many other individuals and families that gave of their time, service and love.

Kimberly Ann knew and loved her Savior Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father. She knew her Heavenly Father loved her. She loved the song of a bird; the blue, blue sky; the rain on her face, the wind rushing by; she loved the touch of a velvet rose or a walk by a lilac tree; she loved this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for her. She knew Heavenly Father gave her those beautiful blue eyes that she might see the color of butterfly wings. She knew He gave her ears that she might hear the magical sound of things. She knew that He gave her, her life, her mind, her heart; She thanked Him reverently for all His creations of which she was a part. Yes, she knew Heavenly Father loved her. Kim was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sharing her testimony not only in word but through the life she lived.

Kimberly attended Lincoln American School in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Salt Lake Valley public schools, graduated from Skyline High School and attended the University of Utah. Kim loved nature, sports, the Utes, running and all types of exercise, but her #1 focus was her family and her testimony of the Savior and His Gospel. She loved her callings in Young Women and in Primary. Playing the piano in Primary was a special time for her. She loved the little ones and the music she taught and played.

Kimberly Ann is survived by her husband Scott, sons Jace and Brody and her daughter Tyler Sue. She is also survived by her parents W. Ralph and Sue Shupe Hardy, brothers Bill (Gaylynne), Brian (Rachel), Brent (Staci), Blake (Shelly) and her sister Karin Sue. Kim's love and respect for her brothers, sister and parents were always visible through the happiness and laughter she shared with them throughout her life. Many nieces and nephews will also greatly miss their Aunt Kim.

We would like to extend our love and deep gratitude to Scott for his tender and loving care for Kim. Goodbyes are not forever or the end, they simply mean we'll miss you until we see you again.
