Jenny Lynne Fletcher

1971 ~ 2016

Jenny Lynne Fletcher, 44, of Midvale, UT the youngest of 8 siblings, passed away as a result of cholangiocarcinoma February 10, 2016 in Murray, Utah. She was born May 26, 1971 to James Robson Fletcher and Verna Franson Fletcher.

Jenny graduated from Hillcrest High School and attended BYU. The work she enjoyed most was work that involved children. Most recently she was working as an aide at Midvalley Elementary and as a Crossing Guard for Murray City. Jenny devotedly volunteered as Co-Chair of the Days of '47 Family Festival. At the time of her death she was still a member of the board of Days of '47.

Jenny was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she accepted many callings which included working with the Primary, Young Women and the Relief Society. She especially enjoyed being a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple in the baptistry. She enjoyed festivals, especially the Children's Festival now called the Family Festival. She liked collecting arts and crafts and the art and craft of collecting friends, especially children and neighbors.

Proceeded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings: Kathie (Grant), James (Lori), Maribeth (John), John (Colista), Jane (Kim), Helen (Jeff), Beckie (Ron) and by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her cat, Minnie that provided needed comfort, companionship and a loyalty that defied all odds. The family would like to thank the knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind care of the Hepatology and Liver Transplant Clinic Team and to T10 of IMC, and many other medical care givers for their excellent care, and to the many who visited and provided acts of service.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 19 at 11:30 a.m. at Union Park 4th Ward, 700 E. 7500 S., Midvale. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. Sandy, and again prior to services from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
