Ninette Marie Tate

1944 ~ 2018

Ninette was born in Alameda, California to Lawrence Arrel Tate and Aurelia Dorothy D\Anna (Tate) on April 15, 1944.

She was named for her grandmother whose nickname was Ninette, meaning little girl. She preferred to be called Nina.

Her father was in the Navy and the family lived in different parts of the world as she grew up, including Alaska, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Japan.

She married Thomas Wheeler Williams in 1964. They had eight children together and were married for 27 years.

She taught Lamaze classes for a number of years and later became a nurse\s aide then went to school to become an LPN and later, an RN working with newborns and their mothers.

After a struggle with drug addiction, she joined Narcotics Anonymous and remained clean for the rest of her life.

Nina passed away Saturday morning, January 13 of natural causes at the age of 73. Her son Joseph was by her side.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her siblings Rene (Norman), Matthew, Mark (Susan), Dionne a.k.a. Dee Dee and her children Michael (Joni), David, Joseph, Sarah, Samuel, Elizabeth (Jose), Mary (Myles), and Jared (Cassandra), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the McKinley Ward building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1883 S. West Temple in Salt Lake City on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Noon.

Interment will be at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S. in Millcreek, Utah.
