John Daly Leavitt, 52 passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. John was born December 4, 1963 in Salt Lake City to Lonny and Carol Leavitt. He attended schools in Salt Lake and graduated from Highland High School. In 1993 he married Brenda Shute in Salt Lake. He owned and operated Leavitt's Landscaping and Snow Removal. He enjoyed plowing snow at night and working in the out of doors. Boating and gambling were his hobbies. Wendover was his favorite place.
John was a very happy, mellow and easy going gentleman. He was pleasant to be around and will be very missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Leavitt. His son, Dustin (Kristeena) Peterson and grandson Drake Peterson. His parents. A brother Scott (Tara) Leavitt and his sisters, Pamela (Reed) Hull, Sheila Leavitt and Sharon (Bob) Fredlund.
A graveside service will be held, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery. (2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City). Condolences can be shared with the family at www.larkinmortuary.com.
