Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother Maria Rosa Cañas de Carcamo (Mamita) passed away peacefully on September 27, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Armeniaa municipality in Sonsonate a department ofEl Salvador to Cornelio Uria and Paula Cañas.

Mamita loved being around her daughters, sons and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cheered them on in their sporting events and all life goals in person and in spirit as her health declined. They in turn loved being around Mamita and their devotion to her, especially during these last few months, it was something that she truly loved and cherished. She was excited and hopeful to be able to come home from the hospital. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards, and crocheting among other hobbies. She loved going out and enjoying the great outdoors. She loved being surrounded by family during the holidays. It brought her great joy when the family was together, eating, dancing and reminiscing on all the wonderful times we shared together. Mamita was a very giving person. One of her main mottos was: Where one person can eat, a thousand can also eat. She was always thinking of others needs before hers even in her final hours. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of her proudest moments was becoming a Citizen of the United States of America.

She is predeceased by her Father Cornelio Urias and Mother Paula Cañas, two brothers Pablo and Ines Cañas, and Son Israel Carcamo. She is greatly missed, by her five daughters and three sons; Sara (Ismael), Elizabeth, Jesse (Flor) Priscilla (Jerry), Ana Lidia, Gamaliel (Guadalupe) Moises (Tammy) Rosa Esperanza (German). Countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren: The family is very grateful for the 24/7 care and kindness, and self sacrifice provided by granddaughter Larissa Ramirez while she was in Hospice Home Care with the help of the staff of Intermountain Hospice Homecare Services.
