Norman Wayne Dilley

1934 ~ 2014

Beloved husband, incredible father, grandpa and friend Norm Dilley, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2014. He was born on April 4th, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph and Sophie Dilley.

Norm graduated from West High School in 1952. He married Faye Noorda, who preceded him in death. He married Arlene Rasmussen Fenn in November of 1987 in Salt Lake City and has since resided in Rose Park.

Norm was a follower of Jesus Christ, and therefore lived his life serving the Lord and all those around him. There was nothing Norm couldn't do. He always had a project going and that was when he was happiest. He worked with the ministry team building The Rock Church in Sandy, Utah. He volunteered with Hospice providing respite and companionship for many. He gave care to many dear friends. Norm built several beautiful homes that were enjoyed by family and friends. He loved finding his place in the sun. Norm was a talented artist who could turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Norm is survived by the love of his life, Arlene; his children: Sharon (Mickey) Begent, Joe Dilley, Annette (Danny) Baker, John (Andrea) Dilley and Jenifer (Paul) Miner, Robert Jon Fenn; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his brother, Donny, granddaughter, Jillian Begent and grandson, Joey Salazar.

Norm's family will greet visitors on Wednesday March 19, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, located on 12 C Street, SLC, UT, where memorial services will be held on Thursday March 20, 2014 at 12:00 Noon.
