Whitney Brooke Schmidt Jensen

1989 ~ 2015

Our dear sweet and beautiful Whitney returned to the arms and loving care of her Heavenly Father on December 17, 2015. She is now joined in Heaven with her baby and all of her dear family members that have passed before her.

Whitney Brooke Schmidt Jensen was born on November 22, 1989 and had just reached the age of 26. While growing up, Whitney was such a beautiful and shy, yet loving little girl. She was just so pure and sweet. Whitney\s young life was a prelude to finding and marrying her eternal partner, Jayson Jensen. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 2013. Through the deep and abiding pure love and friendship she shared with Jayson, Whitney blossomed into an incredible woman of confidence, faith, serenity, happiness, and complete fulfillment. It was something so incredible to see these two young people so in love. They were together for less than three years, but they experienced a lifetime of adventures through their love during that time. Whitney and Jayson were true mortal soul mates and eternal partners... two beautiful young people sharing one big perfect heart together.

Whitney always had this sweet but elegant innocence about her during her entire life. Whitney loved Christmas and the joy of gifts that people gave that had special meaning. Each year, we always had tradition of the last gift being the most special gift. Whitney had this amazing one-of-a-kind grin of joy when she got to open her last gift.

Whitney was such a gentle spirit and from her earliest years stayed close to her Heavenly Father. That faith always carried her each day and she lived her life basking in the sunlight of her Savior\s love and truly feeling the blessing of the atonement of Jesus Christ

Whitney had so much gratification of her school years spent at Hillcrest High School in Midvale, UT and graduating from Alta High School in Sandy, UT. She felt such honor and pride that she graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in Education and began teaching elementary school this past August. Whitney and Jayson had so many wonderful friends at college and at their church. Whitney would want all of her friends to know that she treasured her time with you and to thank you for everything you gave to her life.

From the earliest of times in her life, Whitney was like a magnet for little children. She had such a special gift that all children were intuitively drawn to her love. Whitney was eventually able to realize her dream of becoming a school teacher this past year at Cherry Creek Elementary School in Springville, Utah.

Whitney longed for her own children and being a Mother was what she was striving for in this life on earth. In November, she learned that she had finally conceived a child and was filled with such joy. Sadly, her sweet little baby passed away and it devastated both her and Jayson. She had so much love stored up in her soul to give to children and wanted more than anything in this world to be a Mother.

Whitney truly loved her family. She and Jayson believed so much that families are at the core of our existence on this earth. Whitney loved her parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and all of her relatives. Even in times of family struggle, she still wanted everyone\s love in her life. As Whitney matured and married, it seemed like her level of joy and capacity to love increased daily and her beautiful heart became so amazingly giving and full of kindness. We know that Whitney would have wanted to say goodbye to each and every family member. She would tell you that she sincerely appreciated how all of you made her life better through a multitude of positive contributions as an example of how to live a good life. She knew that she was loved by her family and she died believing with all her heart that families are forever.

Whitney knew how to hug people with such a special kind of intimacy that you felt like you were the only person in the world that could be hugged in that unique moment. When several of us met with her right after she lost her baby, the intensity of the hugs she gave to her Mom, Savannah and everyone else there was an unforgettable moment of rapturous love and joy.

Whitney, we miss you so much. We miss your love. We miss your spirit. We hurt that you are not here to love us in person. We miss the joy you gave to all that knew you. Whitney, you will always be a part of the love we carry in our hearts. We will never forget what you meant to our lives. We know that we will see you again in Heaven. Goodbye, sweet sweet Whitney… until we meet again.
