Catherine Clara "Kaye" Bateman was born June 1, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Samuel and Winnifred Curtis Bateman. She died February 16, 2016, in Salt Lake City. Kaye graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City with honors. She worked as a receptionist at ZionsBank. She married Robert O. "Chris" Christensen September 14, 1973, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Kaye was known for her kindness and generosity. She served in numerous callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including Primary worker and visiting teacher. She loved to attend the temple.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and brother David Bateman. Surviving are brothers and wives, S. Sterling Bateman (Jill), Harold "Hal" Bateman (Laurel), and Robert K. Bateman (Jamie), and stepchildren Karen Cushing, Becky Barlow, Robert T. Christensen, Norma Blundell, and Charles Christensen, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, with viewing 9:45 a.m.‚10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
