On a tranquil Sunday morning we said goodbye to Bonnie Lee Hilton, age 87, who quietly passed from this life on June 9th, 2019. She was born in Latuda, UT, the second of 3 children, to Edward D. Scherer and Annie E. Sonberg, who unfortunately passed away after the birth of Bonnie's brother Edward. Later her father remarried to Helen L. McGuire and they moved to Salt Lake City.
Bonnie lived most of her life in Salt Lake where she met and married Deane H. Harmon, who passed away in March 1988. She later lived in Bluffdale before moving to Saint George with her late husband C.H. "Bob" Hilton. She is best known for her beautiful flower gardens and meticulous yard, which she spent many hours in. She had a huge soft spot in her heart for all types of animals. Extra attention was given to taking care of her special animals, her miniature horses Goldie and Daisy Mae, "my girls" as she would call them, Oreo the goat, Sparky the Pug dog and her many kitties. Bonnie was a strong supporter of numerous charitable foundations. She volunteered for many years at Dixie Regional Medical Center and was actively involved in the Dixie Lanes Bowling League. She also loved socializing at Chuck-A-Rama with family and friends. You always knew when you went to her home, she would have a fridge full of everyone's goodies and a freezer full of homemade strawberry jam.
Bonnie is survived by her sister Roxada Diltz, whom she had many fond memories; daughters Christine Beesley and Sharie (Steven) Crowther; sons David D. (Kay) Harmon and Steven G. (Cynthia) Harmon; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Bonnie is loved beyond words and will be deeply missed. We Love You!

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bluffdale City Cemetery, 14229 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, UT, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband C. H. "Bob" Hilton. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 ‚ 10:45 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT.
