On the morning of November 16, 2015, Evon passed away peacefully at home, joining her beloved husband beyond the veil, after a short struggle with cancer. Evon was born in Hosford, Florida, on February 27, 1932, the only daughter of (Mary) Gladys and Charlie Wilson Duggar. She married her high school sweetheart, Wayne, in 1951, and together they raised seven children. Evon was a "super mom," the anchor of her family, fondly remembered for her home cooking and nurturing nature. She was devout in her faith and enjoyed her callings at church, especially attending young women's camp and serving as primary president. Evon worked for eight years as a secretary at the governor\s office, four years at Juvenile Justice, as well as at the family drywall business. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survived by her children: Bob(Lisa), Ken(Bev), Chuck(Debbie), Bruce(Myrna), Kevin, Tami(Ken), Cory(Heidi), 20 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Kim at Canyon Homecare and Hospice for all they have done for our family.
Services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 7645 South 3200 West at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 prior, as well as a viewing Friday night from 6-8 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South.
