On March 10, 2018 Rob took his final ride and was tragically killed on his motorcycle in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born on February 7, 1968 to Robert Allen Yockey and Susan Olsen in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rob as a child, was a happy, smart and curious little boy; always looking for what mischief he could get into next. His tricycle was his best friend and as he grew into adulthood his love of anything with a motor continued. During his childhood, he also had many interests, playing baseball and guitar, but he found at a young age he had a special talent and a love for art. He was able to draw any of the Disney characters and portraits freehand, with meticulous detail, but his great work was in his imagination.
Rob attended Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. After high school Rob married and had two beautiful daughters Porsha and Ciera. At some point Rob lost his sense of direction and over the next few years attended the school of hard knocks. He later moved to California to live with his grandmother, whom he adored. Over the next several years, Rob continued to struggle in life. At some point, a special opportunity was offered to him to relocate and accept employment in Honolulu, Hawaii giving him a chance for a fresh new start. It was just what he needed! He had learned to work hard, stay clean, and see the beauty around him. His motorcycle became his new high in life!
Rob leaves behind his two daughters Porsha Lynn Yockey and Ciera Marie Yockey and their mom Neva Garzarelli, although separated remained friends; four grandchildren Dominic, Lily, Damien and Reyna; his mom and stepdad Susan and James Janisch; brother Josh Janisch; sister Jamie Janisch; and aunt Carol Muffett, with whom he had a very special bond. Preceded in death by his father Robert Allen Yockey and grandparents.
