Una Vee Williams Pierce, 93, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 16, 2014. She was born on March 12, 1921 in Emery County to David Henry and Annie Sorensen Williams. Una married Spencer Pierce in 1944. She attended Henager's College and worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles where she retired from in 1979. She had a talent for playing the piano as well as the accordion. She enjoyed her cats, bird watching and listening to her wind chimes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer, her parents, as well as her siblings, Coy, Elsie, Udell Jesse, Lynn, David and Max. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00 in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Ave. and ‘N' Street. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Fri Sept. 26th from 6-8 pm and Sat. from 9:30-10:30 prior to the services.
A special thanks to Una's niece, Beverly, who took Una on some fun trips; her care givers, Melinda and Carol; as well as her close neighbors and friends, Howie and Cindy, who allowed Una to stay at home until her passing.
