James Lloyd Sheffield born March 17, 1924 passed away Wednesday June 10, 2015, at 91 years of age. Jim lived a long and prosperous life and served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Virginia Dent in the Salt Lake Temple, August 13, 1947. Together they had 4 children, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He especially loved a good golf game, playing well in to his late eighties with his great golf buddies. He genuinely loved people and his membership in the LDS Church, serving in many callings throughout his lifetime. In 2010 he fell while working in his back yard and broke his neck. All who surrounded him including the doctors felt it was a miracle he survived. His dream at that time was to be able to play golf again, which he did. Jim is survived by his children, Caryn (David) Ujifusa, Mark (Janeen) Sheffield, Mariella Sheffield, and Steven (Lori) Sheffield. He is also survived by two brothers and three sisters, Dale, Marlene, Janis, Kent, and Shanna. He was preceded in death by his precious sweetheart Virginia, his parents Devern and Blanche Sheffield, siblings, Dee, Ray, and Ardith.
