Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Angie Medina Mestas passed away April 5, 2015 with her children by her side. She was born October 1, 1944 in Durango, CO. to Presentacion and Clotilde Martinez Medina. She worked at Littons Guidance Control Systems (Northrop Grunman) and retired after 20+ years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, shopping and family BBQ's at her home.
She is survived by her son Joseph Mestas, daughters; Susie Maestas and Jennifer Heskett (Charley), grandchildren; Holly, Bernice, and Christian, great grandchild Joseph, sisters; Genive Quintana (Montrose, CO.), Sally Martinez (Salt Lake City, UT.) , Francis Martinez (Salt Lake City, UT.), and Vangie Medina Mace (Gary) (Murray, UT.), sisters-in-law; Dorothy Medina (Colorado) and Marie Medina (Colorado), brother Johnny Medina (Blues) (Durango, CO.), and her three dogs who she loved dearly; Annie, Spike and Stormy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Bernice Albo, brothers Don Medina and Philbert Medina, and great granddaughter Faith Maestas.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held from 10:00 ‚ 11:00 am prior to the service. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
