Kenneth Thomas Schwab
August 16, 1962 ~ October 17, 2015
Passed away among the splendor of the mountains of Payson Canyon with his cherished wife Maryann by his side at the age of 53. Ken was born on August 16, 1962 in Manistique Michigan to Robert John Schwab and Barbara Joan Hanna. Ken was raised in Dearborn Heights, Michigan where he graduated from Crestwood High School in 1980. In 1986 he married his childhood sweetheart Maryann, (who said she was going to "marry him" when she was 8 years old). In 1989 their first and only child Brian was born. Ken , Maryann and Brian moved to Utah in 1994. He worked as a machinist his whole career, most recently for Wasatch Tool and Die. Ken was an avid outdoors man. He loved to camp, hike, snowshoeing,play hockey, cards and golf. But most of all, he loved to spend cherished time with family and friends.
Ken is survived by his wife of 29 years, Maryann, his loving son Brian, his sister Janet, brother Bob and his twin brother Keith. Cherished brother-in-law and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 8892 W. State Highway, Bingham Canyon. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 4:00-8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) Sandy, and at the church from 10:00-11:00am prior to the service.
