Emmett Swan Heinrich

1928 ~ 2017

Emmett passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born November 29, 1928 in Smithfield, UT to George C. and Garnet Swan Heinrich. Graduated from Logan High and attended USU where he played football. He married Margaret Frances Leake Rauzon in 1960.

Emmett worked for Standard Oil for many years and then owned his own service station on the corner of 300 West and South Temple in Salt Lake City.

He loved golfing, fishing, hunting and boating especially at Flaming Gorge. He and Margaret enjoyed traveling together, watching sporting events and caring for their sweet dogs and granddogs. Their home was always open and welcoming to family, friends and they were accepting of everyone. They made everyone feel at home.

He is survived by his children Larry (Lisa) Rauzon, Terrie (Kathy) Rauzon, Douglas (Susan) and Ronald (Lisa) Heinrich, daughter in law Janice Rauzon, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sister MaryAnne Peterson. Preceded in death by his wife Margaret, sons Brian and Scott Heinrich and Keith Rauzon, grandsons Tyler Rauzon and Jared Plante.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 am prior to the services.

The family would like to thank the staff at Summit Hospice and Touching Hearts for their exceptional care of our dad. Also, Thanks to Nicole Mohr for the many meals and friendship and to all the friends and neighbors who helped dad over the last several years.
