Virginia passed away peacefully, August 11, 2018. She was born October 10, 1929 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Alva Edgar and Henrietta Wann Crawford. She attended school there through her junior year. She was a good student. She earned mostly straight As. She was a member of the Oklahoma State Honor Society and served on the student council as secretary and finance chair.
Her family moved to Salt Lake City before her senior year. She graduated from West High School, class of 1948. That fall she met her future husband, Ross Edward Park. He was a student at Utah State University. Shortly after his graduation, they were married June 15, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. On March 3, 1953 they welcomed a son, Edward Alan. They moved to Murray in 1954. She lived in that same home until her death. She was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in various callings in her ward and stake. She developed a love of reading in grade school that lasted a lifetime. She loved her family. They were the joy of her life.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ross. Survived by her son, Edward; grandchildren, Jeremy (Danielle) and Cassandra (Johnathan), and her great-grandson Jonathan, whom she adored; brother Wayne (Valeen) Crawford; cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Murray West Stake Center, 5750 South Nena Way, Murray. A viewing will be on Friday from 6-8pm and Saturday from 10:00-10:45 am at the church, prior to the services. Burial will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South.
