Glen Firman Biesinger

1957 ~ 2017

Our beloved father, brother, son, uncle and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father on April 7, 2017 at the age of 59 due to complications from diabetes.

Glen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Taylor and Elaine Biesinger. He grew up in Bountiful, Utah where he made wonderful memories and many life-long friendships. Glen served an honorable mission in Tampa, Florida. He married LuAnn Jeppsen in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many church capacities. Glen loved any opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and particularly enjoyed speaking in church meetings and teaching gospel doctrine classes.

Glen loved sports, and looked forward to a good game of golf. He enjoyed public speaking and was a member of Toastmasters International. Glen loved a wide variety of music and would crank up the volume while listening to his favorite artists including the Carpenters, Reba McEntire, and Mannheim Steamroller. He learned to play the piano by ear and would never pass up an opportunity to sit and play. He loved traveling whenever he had the opportunity. Glen was a people person and looked forward to spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his three children: Scott, Mandy, and Troy who will miss their dad immensely.

Glen is survived by LuAnn, his children: Scott, Mandy, and Troy; father, Taylor (Pauline) Biesinger; brother, Brent (Crystal) Biesinger; sisters, Iris (Gary) Bradley and Jill (Roger) Mann, and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother Elaine; sister Sioux Anderson and brother-in-law Lon Anderson.

A viewing will be held on Friday April 14, 2017 at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple in Salt Lake City from 6-8 p.m. The funeral will be held Saturday April 15th at the Ward on 5176 W. Parr Drive (8540 S.) in West Jordan, UT at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to the service from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
