We lost our little brother and dad after a long struggle of illness on March 29, 2015. He was born to Phillip J. Rough and Lorene Murdock on December 10, 1963. He is survived by his daughter Anna Clawson, son Joshua Rough, sister Colleen (Dave) Strong, and brother Tom (Heather) Rough.
John graduated from West High School where he played for the football team. He worked on the stage crew, which started his career as a stage hand for Local #99. He loved his brothers and sisters of the union, especially the ones at the Capitol Theater.
Two years ago he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is grateful for all the friends he made in his ward, and the help they gave him. He relied on the Lord to help him through some very rough times and the Lord helped him get through them. John went very peacefully, and we know it was his time to go home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ensign Stake Center, 135 ‘A' Street. Friends and family may visit Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Stake Center.
