Gwendoline Phyllis Miller passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 12, 2015 in West Jordan, Utah. Gwen was born on October 29, 1935 in Kettering England. Gwen's father passed away when she was 2 years old which left her mother, Phyllis Simmonds to raise her and her brother, John. She met her husband, Melvin Miller and immigrated to the US in 1955. Gwen loved being with her kids, going to cat and dog shows which she was a part of for 40 years. She loved traveling with her kids and did several trips and 6 cruises.
She is survived by her four children, Karen Pettit (Jack), Richard Miller (Jerri), Cheryl Shields (Graham Miller) and Lisa Mabey and her grandchildren, Erica Courtney, Austin Pettit, Cassandra Miller, Ryan Shields, Amanda Shields and Alex Dierks and 3 great grandkids.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Simmonds, son-in-law, Robert Mabey and granddaughter, Anna Pettit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road Sandy, Utah. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the service.
