Jeanne Evelyn Gardiner Frederiksen

1922 ~ 2014

Jeanne Evelyn Gardiner Frederiksen returned home to her Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of December 31, 2014. She was born in Salt Lake City on September 6, 1922, the only child of Donald and Carrie Gardiner.

Jeanne attended West High School and LDS Business College. She then went to work for Auerbach\s Department Store, where she met her husband Robert S. Frederiksen. They were married for 40 years before Bob passed away in 1987. As a full time loving mother, she was also instrumental in building a successful kitchen cabinet manufacturing business with her husband and has continued his legacy after his passing.

Raising five children, Jeanne was a devoted and adoring mother which prepared her to become a doting grandmother and great grandmother. A world traveler, her favorite destinations were Spain, San Francisco and her beloved Hebgen Lake Cabin in Yellowstone, Montana. Entertaining with family and friends was always a joy, from her Christmas dinners to back yard barbeques. Young at heart with a positive outlook on life and a playful sense of humor, she made friends of everyone she met regardless of their age. Jeanne dressed the part with an eye for fashion, right down to her elaborate Halloween costumes. She loved to cook, play cards and board games and was always up for an adventure. She will indeed leave an empty place in our hearts.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and daughter Suzan. She is survived by her three daughters and one son: Michelle (Michael) Eldredge, Sheri (Brad) Glaus, Robynne Baker, Tim (Dana) Frederiksen, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grand≠children.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Sunrise Senior Living of Holladay for their devoted care and friendship to Jeanne during the past few years. A thank you, also, to the staff at CareSource Hospice for their great compassion.
