Lorene left behind her weak mortal body on March 8 2016 and returned to her Heavenly Father. She was born November 18, 1931 to Herman Bouwhuis and Luella Pearl Bybee in Ogden Utah. She attended Rigby, Weber and graduated from Idaho Falls High. Lorene married Elmer Ray Bullock on August 22, 1950 in Berkley, California while he was serving in the navy. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1960. Lorene was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings throughout her life. Her favorite past times were working in her flower beds and traveling with Elmer.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Elmer, her son Steven Elmer (Lou), 3 great grandchildren, her parents, sister Beverly Cole and brother Herman Christian Bouwhuis (Bud). Survived by her 7 other children, Karen Crook (Richard), Kevin (Maggie), Karol Lin Newman (Gary), April Jeppson, Brian (Wendy), Matt (Catherine), Scott (Wendy), 40 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and brother, Larry Dean Bouwhuis (Pat).
A viewing will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple, Salt Lake City from 6-8pm. The funeral will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Riverside LDS chapel, 1145 W 500 S, Salt Lake City at 11am. Viewing before funeral from 9:45 to 10:45am at the ward. Lorene's family would like to thank the Brookdale assisted living home for the wonderful and loving care she received at their hands over the last 2 Ω years. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
