Charles Joseph Davis passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2018. He was born on July 28, 1930 in Gibson, New Mexico to John C. and Sarah L. Davis. Charles was raised in Gamerco, NM. At age 17 years old, he joined the US Air Force, where he served 43 years.
Charles grew up knowing the love of his life, Sharron L. Sullivan. They were married on November 30, 1951. Together they raised five children.
Charlie never met a stranger, every person he met loved him. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and shooting. He was a master marksman and in 1962, he won second place in the world shooting match at Camp Perry, Ohio.
Charlie is survived by four children Janie (David) Hansen, Tammy (Craig) Hellier, Jim (Shelly) Davis, Lory Davis; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. His wife Sharron; son Jeffery; and grandson Mitchell preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 12th at 11:00 AM at the Academy Park Ward, 4605 Westpoint Drive, West Valley City. Friends may call upon the family at the viewings on Monday, June 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, June 12th from 10:00 to 10:45 AM also at the church.
