1927 ~ 2017

Robert B. Carabine passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2017 at the age of 90 of liver cancer. Bob was born March 2, 1927 in Bountiful, Utah to John R. Carabine and Ella LaVoun Burningham. Bob served in the Coast Guard at the end of WWII. He attended the University where he graduated with a business -marketing degree. Bob spent his career in upper management working for several large companies. Bob loved and married three wonderful women; Lucy Brown with which he had two daughters, Sharon Christensen who after 20 years of marriage passed away of cancer, and his current wife Karen Magdiel. His life was defined by service to others, especially his family. He was a caregiver to everyone around and was always putting his family's needs before his own. Bob had a gift of loving and accepting everyone. One of his mottos was "don't sweat the little things." Bob loved fishing, hunting, skiing, golfing and food. He kept his mind sharp with his constant quest for knowledge. He believed "you can do anything if you put your mind to it." We will miss Bob's quick wit, his love and determination. Though he is gone may his posterity live on to be an example to others in honor of him.
