Ronald Lehi Bruin passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was born February 4, 1933 in Salt Lake City to Barend and Johanna Bruin. He married his sweetheart, JoAnn Keddington Bruin in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 17, 1955. Ron graduated from East High School and later served for 40 years in the US Air Force Reserve retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He also retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years of service. He was a great example of a loving husband and father to his children and grandchildren and will be missed dearly by all.
He is survived by his children; Evelyn (Joe) Jackson, R. Craig Bruin, Doug (Teresa) Bruin, Sarah (John) Tschaggeny and Richard (Meri) Bruin, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and brother, Leroy. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, parents and three brothers, Stanley, John and Gerald.
A funeral service will be held at the Winder 2 ward (1361 E. 4000 S., Salt Lake) on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the ward house prior to services. Interment will be in the Larkin Sunset Garden Cemetery (1950 East 10600 South).
