Glen Jordan Hadfield

1942 ~ 2016

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully and with dignity on May 29th. He passed away with his family by his side. Glen's greatest joys in life were his family and grandchildren. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.

He graduated from Granite High School and studied at the University of Utah, Worked for Kennecott Copper, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Georgia and Korea. He worked for over 34 years as a deputy with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office. In 1967, he married his sweetheart and best friend, Jeanne, and together they raised two wonderful daughters.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, traveling and loved spending time with the family. He also enjoyed antiquing and all the friends he made during that time. He and his wife traveled through Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, all states in the U.S. and all Canadian Provinces.

Survived by his wife, Jeanne, children, Jann (Cory) Curtis, Sheila (Hugh) McGirt; grandchildren, Adam, Luke, Hugh and Katie. Also survived by nephews and nieces, Jim, Holly, Terry, Jenny and Troy and many other nieces and nephews whom he adored. Preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Bob, Aunt Merce, his sister, Janet, nephews, Kelly and Mike.

A visitation to honor the wonderful man Glen was, will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, from 6-8 PM at Larkin Mortuary-Riverton. 3688 W. 12600 South. Also a graveside prayer on Friday at 1 PM at Elysian Burial Gardens.
