Salt Lake City, UT ‚ Rayola, age 82, passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2018. She was born April 12, 1936 in SLC, UT to Kenneth and Emily Olsen and was the youngest of four daughters. She graduated from East High School in 1954. She married Rodney Jay Collard in the Salt Lake Temple on June 29, 1966 and took pride in her nearly 52 years of marriage. Prior to raising a family, she worked as a secretary for a law firm and when her children were older, she enjoyed working as a secretary for the Utah State Board of Education for 18 years.
Rayola's first priority was her family. She shared her love for the outdoors and sports with them. She particularly loved camping, golf, and bowling. She will be remembered for her inclusiveness, optimism, genuine kindness, and her selfless service. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. She served diligently in many callings, as well as a Salt Lake City Temple worker, and has been an inspiration to many.
She is survived by her husband Rodney Collard; children, Brian (Carmen) Collard, Camie (Manuel) Gonzalez, and Collette Collard; grandchildren Alan, Vanessa, Anthony, Diego, and Lucas; sisters Kay Andersen and Beverly Bastian. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Lenore Driggs.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Foothill 2nd Ward, located at 1933 S. 2100 E. SLC, UT 84108. A viewing will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the ward and Monday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
