Our loving and generous Rhea passed away from living a full life at the age of 98. She was born February 22, 1916 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to John W. and Myrtle Jane Turner Gardiner. She married Phillip Lamar Sauls January 2, 1932. They lived in Rose Park for many years. She graduated from South High the second year it was open. She was a dedicated Golden Eagles hockey fan. Rhea worked at LDS and Primary Children's Hospital for over 20 years in medical records and was proud to be a descendant of the original pioneers.
Rhea is survived by her children Jim (Helen) Sauls, Carol Davie (Frank Cloward), Sherry Vance and 57 grand to great great- great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Floyd, Dean, Wayne Gardiner and Ila Banks, her grandchildren Jeff Sauls, Ronald Vance and Randy Blatnick.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy. A visitation will be one hour prior to services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
