Karol Allred Meryhew

1953 ~ 2015

Karol Allred Meryhew, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Apr. 1, 2015.

She was born Sept. 14, 1953 to Jack Lavell and Ardith Bowden Allred in Roosevelt, UT. She was the third of seven children, and was an amazing sister and daughter.

She married her best friend, Rick Meryhew; they were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple. This union brought the greatest blessings and joys of her life: Neiko (Chris) Gilgen, Morgan (David) Robertson, Ricky, Michael and Kylee as well as her "angels" Boston, Kaydence, Addisynn, Charlotte, and Austin. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family; she attended numerous baseball games, dance competitions, weekends at the cabin or anywhere her family might be. She always focused on the things that mattered most: her family, the Gospel, and friendships.

She leaves an amazing legacy. She taught at Granger High School for 35 years and touched the lives of thousands of students. She could not go anywhere without running into a former student.

She has joined her father in a joyous reunion; leaving her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, in-laws, nieces and nephews to miss her terribly, but to continue her work and leave a lasting legacy. She fought a good fight and finished her course having kept faithful until the end.
