Barbara Curtis Komis, age 87, passed away August 1, 2017 in Murray, Utah. She was born July 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of John H. and Mary Ellen Curtis. Barbara married Michael P. Komis at the Wendover Air Force Base in Utah. He preceded her in death.
Barbara enjoyed sewing, bowling, camping and travelling with family. She was also an avid sports fan. She was a member of the Assemblies of God Church, a devout Christian and inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed by all the lives she has touched, more than words can say.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Art) McLaughlin, Cynthia Estes and Sheila Small; son, Michael A. (Sheryl); 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; and her husband.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
you all had such a sweet mother. She was such a kind person. Love to all the family. I just now seen her obituary trying to find Mike's phone number. It make me sad to know your mother passed.
