Edward Allan Chenoweth

1934 ~ 2019

Loving Dad and Grandpa, Edward Allan "Ted" Chenoweth, passed away at his home in Sandy on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

Born May 21, 1934 in Salt Lake City to Edward Wallace Chenoweth and Isabella Porterfield Donaldson. He was their only child. Married Joanne M. Myers, August 9, 1969 (later divorced). He was blessed with two sons.

As a young boy he loved being outdoors, whether hiking and camping in the foothills with his best friends or playing any type of sport. His love was baseball and his favorite pastime was having a catch with his dad in the backyard.

He graduated from South High School and later from the University of Utah with a degree in mechanical engineering. He loved thinking through problems and coming up with solutions. He always kept his mechanical pencil and graph paper nearby.

He served in the United States Army as a medic from 1954 - 1956 and was able to play baseball for the military, allowing him to see much of the world.

He loved golf, baseball, building model airplanes, anything and everything World War II, his dogs and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons; Mike (Kimber) Chenoweth, Sandy; and Scott Myers, White City, OR; six grandchildren; Allie, Jaycee, Ethan, Kyan, Logan and Ellie.

His cantankerous spirit, love and kindness will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may call Monday evening, July 1st, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at the Crescent Park 4th Ward, 10885 South Pampas Drive, Sandy UT 84094.

Interment at Larkin Sunset Garden, Sandy, UT at a later date.
