Ralph N Creer

1934 ~ 2016

Alpine ‚ After a sudden decline in health, our loving father, grandfather and friend slipped from this world. He will be missed greatly by those he left behind, yet our sadness is tempered by the knowledge that he was greeted by his loving wife and son. Ralph was born in Bancroft, ID on November 08, 1934, to David Russell and Genevieve Nuttall Creer. Soon thereafter the family moved to Salt Lake City, where Ralph enjoyed a wonderful childhood and life. Ralph married his sweetheart Jairene Kay Van Horn on December 12, 1955, in the Salt Lake Temple and they were blessed with three children, Christine, Kimberlee and David. He graduated from East High School and the University of Utah with a Master's degree in Sociology. Because of his wide range of interests he had many careers, finally retiring from the Division of Public Utilities. Ralph loved to spend time with his family, traveling and golfing. He followed in his father's footsteps hitting a hole-in-one. Ralph was a man of his word and exemplified integrity each day of his life. He had a quick, subtle wit and was always a gentlemen. His warmth and friendliness will be greatly missed. Ralph cherished his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully wherever he was called. He found some of his greatest joy serving in the Salt Lake Temple and as Branch President at Primary Children's Hospital.

Ralph is survived by daughters; Christine (Greg) Hadlock, American Fork, and Kimberlee (David) Godfrey, Bountiful, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother Clair (Maurene) Creer, sister Jeanine Larson, sister-in-law Sidney Creer. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son and brother

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016, at 11:00 am, at the Monument Park 14th Ward building, 2255 Wasatch Drive, Salt Lake City.
