Bonnie Dee Woods Rose

1934 ~ 2020

Our loving mother Bonnie (Boni) Dee Woods Rose passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She was born to her loving parents Lewis and Clara Woods on August 24, 1934 in Portola, California. Before her passing she had been a resident of Salt Lake County, Utah since 1941. Where she completed her schooling at West High School.

Bonnie married Paul "Budd" Rose Jr. on October 27, 1951. The joys of their lives were their 9 children and the beginning of many grandchildren. They were married for almost 50 years before dad's passing.

One could say that she went from go-go boots to high heels to sneakers then flip-flops. A true working class lady!! Working such varied jobs with ease such as a President of WPGA at Nibley Park to a Race car Queen at the State fairgrounds. She loved to spend countless hours working in the garden. It's been said "she had the greenish thumb in the valley". Bonnie was passionate about taking care of others at home and while working in the food service industry.

Survived by her children Dennis (Ruby) Rose, Sherry Rose, Robyn McCloy, Tina Peterson, Suzie (Elvis) Mendez and Michael Budd Rose. Her 23 grandchildren and many more great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband Paul "Budd" Rose Jr; daughter Vicky Rose; son Merrell Nunley Rose; son Paul "Budd" Rose 3rd; grandson Jerry "Skipper" Floyd; great granddaughter Angel Jaramillo; and great grandson Juan Alcantar.
