Guy was born July 13, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Wayne and Marion E. Goddard. He grew up in Ogden, Utah. While attending the University of Utah, he met and married Judith Lee on October 2, 1968. Together they have 4 children 6 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Judy, daughters and sons, Angella and (Cemel) Dosembet, Jennifer and (Andy) Buckley, Kamen and (Brandee) Goddard and Micah Goddard. Grandchildren Jema and Phia Dosembet, Dragan Summers, Neva Buckley, Jude and Joscelyn Goddard. Mother, Marion E. Goddard, sisters and brothers, Gerri Shafer, Lynn and (Kevin) Hoesel, Mark and (Brenda) Goddard and Jeff Goddard, his aunt Helen "DeeDee" Kenny and many cousins. He was Uncle Guy to many nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved by Judy's family. He is preceded in death by his father, William Wayne Goddard.
Guy and his brothers built their father's business, Super Sonic Car Wash, into what it is today. He served as the president of the International Car Wash Association in 1999-2000. He and his wife traveled with the Car Wash Enhancement group for many years and enjoyed the company of their friends. He still kept in touch with his fraternity brothers in Phi Delta Theta as well as many high school friends, especially his best friend from childhood, Darrell Jones.
Guy loved his family very much, his grandchildren were his "treasures". Guy's personality was unique, he always had a witty one-liner, "Guyisms" or joke for every occasion. He loved running in the mountains. Guy was one of the original members to compete in the Ride and Tie, a two person, one horse relay race. He started running before it was a sport and ran miles at a time in his old pair of Chuck Taylor Converse. He fell in love with traveling in his later years, especially going to Russia where he embraced the culture and taught himself to speak the language. He has made friends worldwide throughout the years.
Guy will always be remembered for his big and generous heart and kindness to others…you will be loved and missed by all who knew you.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Trailside Ward, 510 East Silver Summit Parkway, Park City with a visitation 9:45-10:45 prior. A visitation will be held Friday, October 11 from 6-8 PM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South Salt Lake City.
