Bonnie S. Belka, 86, passed away on Thursday February 9, 2017 with family by her side. The daughter of Peter and Stella Sorensen, Bonnie was born on March 11, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah.
Mom spent her early years in the mountains outside of Price Utah in the small mining town of Sweets. At the age of 8 she moved with her family to Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Dad in Elko Nevada in 1955 and settled in Kearns, Utah. Mom loved all the simple things. She was truly content to be with her family and a few close friends. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons Scott (Sharon), Troy (Rhonda) her daughter Jodi, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Don S. Belka.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 12:00 noon, at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
