Our sweet, loving mother returned to the presence of her Heavenly Father on May 20, 2015 after medical complications following surgery. Wendy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved and adored her family and friends above all.
Wendy was born on November 9, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Tracey Wendell Shepherd Jr. and Donna Beth Purdie Shepherd. She was the oldest of five children. She was a graduate of Granite High School and earned an associates degree from LDS Business College in 1973. She married her eternal sweetheart, Ruediger Tillmann, on November 21, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ruedi and Wendy settled in Sandy, Utah and raised their five children, Aaron, Nick (Valerie), Wesley (Kristin), Natalie (Logan) and Nicole.
Wendy was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving others. Wendy's favorite past times were serving in the temple and spending time with her beloved nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Mountain Oaks Ward, 11570 South Wasatch Blvd. A visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy and on Friday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
