Dashiell Brooks Lloyd

2018 ~ 2018

Our sweet baby boy Dashiell (Dash) Brooks Lloyd returned to heaven after spending eleven short days with us. He was born early at 34 weeks and in a hurry on Saturday August 4th, 2018 at 2:21 AM. He weighed 5 pounds 2 ounces and was 17 inches long. He passed away in his parent\s arms after fighting for his life on Wednesday August 15th, 2018 at 6:38 PM. Dashiell spent the last 24 hours of his life surrounded by family and enjoyed being held, loved, and received hundreds of kisses. He only knew love, compassion, and kindness in his eleven days on Earth. He was a perfect angel who will be greatly missed and forever loved by those he left behind. Dashiell touched the lives of many people even though he was only here a small time.

Dashiell is survived by his beautiful and loving big sister Marlee, 10 years old; rambunctious and loving big brother Otis, 22 months; his mother Grace Blissell and father Tyson Lloyd of Sandy, UT. His great grandparents John and Cheri Yeager of Sandy, UT; grandparents Arlene and Bill Blissell of Champion, PA; Tawny Lloyd and Kelly Gordon of Sandy, UT; and Doug and Sharon Lloyd of West Jordan, UT. Many great uncles, great aunts, and cousins across the country; Uncle Ricky and Aunt Brittany (Lloyd), cousins Taylor, Baylee, and Jaxson Edwards of Herriman, UT; Uncle Thaxton Lloyd of Cottonwood Heights, UT; Uncle Dahlin Zobel of Salt Lake City, UT; and Uncle Cameron Blissell of Pittsburgh, PA.

Dashiell\s parents would like to thank the wonderful nurses, respiratory therapists, and doctors who cared for Dash during his time in the Newborn ICU at the University of Utah Hospital. Their immense compassion and loving hands helped make this incredibly tough journey a little easier.
