Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away December 28, 2014 at age 63.
David was born March 14, 1951 in Salt Lake City, the third child of Robert W. (Bob) and Mary Edwards. He married Julia Bridges in 1971, later divorced. They had 5 wonderful daughters. He graduated from the University Of Utah College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist to support his family. Later he worked in telecommunications. Since retiring, he successfully battled Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma twice. He loved sports and one of his greatest joys was watching games, especially BYU football, with his dear mother, who passed away just 20 days before he did.
Often, we are defined by the things we love. Our father loved the outdoors, gardening, sports, music, movies, people, learning, photography, the gospel, his mother, family, grandchildren and especially his girls.
David is survived by his children: Denise (Bill) Schaefermeyer, Kristi (Charles) Kano, Camille (Dave) Comer, Laura (Nick) Booth, Rachel (Daniel) Mullen, and their mother, Julia Bridges Edwards, 16 grandchildren; siblings Sherry L. Kramer, Robert W. Jr. (Denise), John W. (Shawna), Catherine A. (Rod) Beckstead, Mary Sue (Andy) Floisand; foster sisters Lorene (Dalroy) Killsnight and Jaquiline Quillen and much extended family. Preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2015, 12:00 p.m., at the Rose Park 1st Ward chapel, 760 N. 1200 W. Salt Lake City Utah. Viewing at the church 10:00-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery, Sandy. A special thank you to Julie and Sterling Smith for the years of service and unconditional love they have offered our dad.
