Willem Warnas, Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Grandpa Great, died peacefully onOctober 6, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born December 25, 1933 in Rotterdam, Holland to Christinus Bernard and Francina Johanna Warnas. Married Darline Cook March 31, 1959
Served in the Merchant Marines and the US Navy. Worked many years at KFC as a cook. Was a drain surgeon (plumber) for Waco plumbing then retired from the University of Utah. Enjoyed going to Utah Lake and spending time with the family. Was an avid crossword puzzler in both English and Dutch
Wim was survived by his loving wife, and daughters Debra Sorensen, Becky (Bill) Hill, Chrissie (John) Hillam, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grand children with 2 more on the way, and sister\s Tiny VanLinden Vander Heuval and Ina Camomile. Preceeded in death by his father, mother and brother Herman.
The family would like to thank the kindness and care given from the staff of the ICU department at Intermountain Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 amSaturday October 10, 2015 at the Wasatch Ward, 1750 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held Friday evening 6-8 pm at the ward and 9:45 to 10:45 amSaturday prior to service. Online condolences are welcome at www.larkincares.com
