1931 ~ 2013

Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Dona Luasene Anderson Harston, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning at her home, surrounded by family after battling the effects of a severe stroke.

She is survived by her seven children: LuAnn (Lance) Weaver, Gary (Rebecca), Robyn (Mike) Van Houten, Lisa Amundsen, Steve, Richard (Becky), Larry (Kim), nineteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her brothers, Earldean, Peter, Jerry and her sister, Becky Rasmussen.

She is preceded in death by her husband, LaDell, her parents Lewis and Leota, her sister, Beverly Olsen and her brother, Blain. Mom had a full life with many wonderful experiences.

Mom was born surrounded by the mountains of Mt. Pleasant, Utah, April 23, 1931.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ her entire life. She served a mission in the Southern California Mission from 1954 to 1955. She married R. LaDell Harston of Logan, in the Manti LDS temple in 1957. She raised seven children in Sandy, Utah.

Mom never complained. Even with the debilitating consequences of a stroke, she never uttered a negative comment. She truly endured to the end.

Mom dedicated many years of selfless service to Relief Society and Cub Scouts. Mom loved to tie quilts, donating hundreds to charity and for gifts. She had many talents which included cooking for others and making crafts. She promoted food storage to help others prepare.
