Christopher Joseph Conner

1986 ~ 2016

Christopher Joseph Conner, 30, of Salt Lake City, Utah left this life on the morning of July 27, 2016. Chris was born on July 10, 1986 in Provo, Utah to William "Bill" Joseph Conner and Claudia Morris Conner. He is the first of four dynamic children. Chris's sister is Catherine Anne Conner and his brothers are Michael Patrick Conner and Ethan James Conner. Chris was an outspoken instigator of familial bonding in his extended family, which includes his devoted partner, Jessica Conner, grandmother Norma Elise Wadsworth, and countless cousins, aunts, and uncles in Utah and Tennessee.

Chris had an unmatched charisma for his passions, which included music, Longhorns football, physical fitness, and his advocacy for The Epilepsy Association of Utah (EAU). Chris brought comfort to families who suffered from the difficulties of life with epilepsy, and he never gave up in his support of others. Regarding his own battle with epilepsy, Chris wrote, "I can use the life I have been given to support others and show them that they can live, that life is beautiful and no affliction ever has to take that away from you."

Chris's personality was reflected in his infectious smile, and he was a favorite amongst his classmates at Highland High School and in his job at Costco.

Chris demonstrated determination in the face of overwhelming pain, and his family and friends would like to express their love and admiration for his strength. His contagious presence will be missed by far more than he ever knew. Chris was a champion of raising awareness, and in his struggle with personal tragedy which ultimately took his life, he would want to leave this comfort with his loved ones: "In life there are going to be some things that make it hard to smile. Through all the rain and pain you got to keep your sense of humor and smile for me now. Remember that." ‚ Tupac Shakur

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 7:00 pm. at the Edgehill Chapel (1750 South 1500 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84105).
